About this place

Bavarian Forest National Park covers 240 square kilometers of primeval spruce and beech forest, rocky ridges, and clear streams. The Lusen and Falkenstein summits, the Tierfreigelände wildlife enclosure, and cross-border trails into the adjacent Sumava National Park in Czech Republic make it Germany's best deep-nature destination. It is an essential counterpoint to the Alpine parks.
